Guru Purnima||NEPTUNE BARMAN
Guru is just a source and a device to reach our destination. Guru is not a personality. We can live our life without a guru and go on the journey of our life but we may get lost because we have no experience of the journey. Guru is someone with the experience, who can guide you through your journey. It`s like the map through the journey of your life. Only when you start to experience your guru, more than a person than he becomes your guru else he is not a guru but a teacher. The day of Guru Purnima can be marked as the day of liberation because this is the day when limitations come to an end. The possibility of liberation is open up for the human race on this day. There are two dimensions of our brain, one thinking about making boundaries and one about exploring. Guru means something, it`s best to walk with someone who walked already on the path you choose to walk. We can choose to walk alone but it would take our whole life to reach our destination. Guru is not about the person it`s beyond the personality. On climbing, mount evert if sherpa who never been to university if he says turn left you will turn left if he says turn right you will turn right. So guru is beyond the identity of the human. It`s about the experience of the person. And we should see our guru beyond a human being. We, humans, are the only species who can evolve consciously, the rest of the species evolve unconsciously. But if we decide to evolve unconsciously then there will be no difference between humans and other species. This has been the land of seekers and as long the seeking will last the humanity will be alive.

Featuring চিন্ময় ভৰালী from Nalbari||Poetry on Mother
Protest in Assam over Land Policy 2020||Report by NEPTUNE BARMAN and DEEPJYOTI DEKA
Recently the protest has been seen raising against the new land policy of the BJP government. Different organizations claimed it as anti-social and against the indigenous people of Assam. They claimed that the government has misused their power and took advantage of the lockdown during the corona pandemic, whereas the voices of people are submerged. Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary commented on the issue that the ordinance will not be applicable for hazardous industries and no industry will be allowed in eco-sensitive zones. And it will mainly help the local entrepreneurs of Assam. So we can also analyze that the problem of unemployment will also be solved. As there will be lots of opportunities for Assamese youths. Ironically people were protesting against the government for unemployment and at the same time today, they are neglecting the opportunities instead of welcoming it. We love our culture, tradition but our tradition and culture need to evolve with time. As time never waits, it changes. We cannot live today as we lived thousands of years back because today we also need some brain along with muscle power. So I think the government is not so fool enough to destroy the economy and culture of the society of Assam. Since the election of Assam is coming on the way so it's the political region due to which the anti-BJP organizations are organizing protests against such policies. We want government jobs, but if we look at the economy of the country. The economy of the country does not run by government jobs single-handedly. So let us look around, we have lots of problems in our society. So if we want to do something we can do lots of work around and earn money. Before organizing protests against an issue first judge yourself if you are right or wrong then attempt to judge someone else. There are many talents in Assam who want to do something in their life but it`s the lack of opportunity that they are suffering from. And the government is trying to give opportunities. We criticize government comparing ourselves to the developed countries and states but why we move back when the government takes a step ahead. Ironically we are acting as the barrier for the development of Assam. Ironically the organizations are seen taking the name of Jati, Mati, and Bheti in the name of movements to protest against the government to gain support from the people. But conflict starts from beliefs and belief is not about coming on streets and protesting it`s about proving your experience. The protest has been going viral on the social media platform across the Assam. Different organizations are seen taking lead in the protest including AASU,AJYCP,Veer Lachit Sena,KMSS,SMSS other regional parties and many other political parties too commented on the issue.
Here are few contents collected from the social media platform that is being shared-
Rename India to Bharat||NEPTUNE BARMAN
We have been calling this land as motherland, not as fatherland. The very basis of creation is referred to as a mother. We have not seen god, but most of us have seen our mother. So we refer to our land as a motherland instead of the fatherland but ironically women are fighting and struggling for rights in the society. Nations are basically made based on the sameness of the people. But what about India? When Europeans came to India they cannot believe in the diversity of this land. This land never had a single belief system, a single culture, single religion, a single tradition. Even there is no religion of this land just we are trying to compete with others. But the most interesting thing to look at is what has united us for so long in this diversity. This has always been the land of seekers. This land was identified by its geographical identity but not by religion. We did not have a particular god to pray. Each and everyone had the right to pray anyone they wish. This nation is alive because of the nature of seeking. Let`s talk about the idea of BHARAT, the word BHARAT has a deep meaning. Which is the original name of our country. People say that the country is named after the Bharat king but it`s wrong the kings are named after the country. So the name India is the name of slavery it's not the name of pride. The name India does not have any meaning. So if a person hold a meaningless name he is identified to be meaningless. We can give any name to ourselves but only thing is whatever we utter is a sound but it leaves a meaning with physiological effect. The beauty of India is not the sameness that binds us. We don't teach Hindi to everyone, we don't teach Assamese to everyone. Hindustan gives an identity of geographical identity but Bharat gives the identity of culture and I think this is the right time to follow the culture. Everyone should have the right to live life the way they wish and believe the way they wish. idea of nation is meaningless until the passion of nationalism vibrates in the heart of each and every being of the nation.

Inter-caste Marriage Explained||NEPTUNE BARMAN
We have been following the traditional art of marrying the person of the same caste. But as the new generation is advancing many questions are arising that why we cannot marry another caste person? Let`s look back to the old days. In India, the caste system was introduced to teach the skill to the people of society and make them perfect in their skill. And the skill was inherited in their families. A girl from a family of the goldsmith was married to a boy from a family of goldsmith because of the knowledge that they can inherit. But now the caste system is not valid in the case. Because the son of a goldsmith is studying engineering, the daughter of a farmer is studying MBBS. So the time has changed and it`s time to change the way we think. We should not think about anybody caste before marrying them because we should be practical in life. Our Indian culture had transformed from time to time for the development of humanity and evolved. It was the demand of time that made the cast system in the society but it`s not necessary to follow it now. Because after all, we are all human. It was not a caste system but a class system that people misinterpreted as a caste system. The caste system was based on the occupation of the people. I think the reservation system is necessary at the entry point because the caste system exists. And still the lower caste people are discriminated by the upper caste people in many regions of India. If you want the government to eliminate reservations then you need to support the government to eliminate the caste system and only we can do it. The very basis of the reservation system is the caste system. If we can end the caste system then the reservation system will come to an end.

Hinduism Explained-NEPTUNE BARMAN
Hinduism is not a religion. It never was, but it is a geographical identity. People never knew in this land what religion was. People believed in God and had spiritual practices but no religion. The word Hindu itself comes from the river Indus. It is a geographical identity, not a religious identity. It was western culture who gave the idea of religion to the inhabitants of the Indus river. No one has started this particular religion like any other religion in the history of humanity. After the religion people gave rise to the idea of nation. Before there was no India but it was separated into different parts ruled by different kings. People had a diverse culture, diverse language, diverse traditions, still, we find the diversity in India. But due to the approach of western culture, we are losing our diversity which is a threat to us. We prefer western culture because they believe in one god, one culture, one language, we no more feel pride in our culture. If this will continue sooner or later we will lose our identity. We can see the character of people changing with the time which is very dangerous, because if the character is lost then everything is lost. In Hinduism we have millions of gods and goddesses because of the diversity among us, we never emerged as one religion and we cannot. We have different ideas and different views. It`s very difficult to bring the people of India to bring under one umbrella like any other nation because of its diverse culture. And I think the reason behind the invaders, invading India, again and again, is the lack of unity among us. We need to work on uniting the people of India. Hinduism is not a religion, it`s an art of living, the way we live. And if a Muslim bends his body his religion won`t go away. So yoga does not mean Hindu, if yoga means Hindu then relativity means Christian. The discoveries are gifts to humanity not gift to particular religions. The temple we see in India were never made to worship God but to sit and calm yourself. There was science behind the construction of the temple in this culture. Hinduism teaches you to live your life the way you should live. I am not attacking any other religion. Religion means belief, you may believe what you want but remember Hinduism is never about religion it is about how you live. Once you start believing in something conflict starts. That`s how the terrorism started, it`s the belief system that has built the empire of terrorism. Religion does not teach us terrorism but it`s our own idea and belief system that creates conflicts and terrorism starts. Religion has nothing to do with someone else,it`s about you. It has nothing to do on the street. Religion is a way to step inward. But we are trying to organize people in the name of religion. So instead of looking the life from the viewpoint of other start looking at life from the viewpoint of yours and make an inward journey, you will find the answer to your questions.

Assam Flood||Ground Report-DEEPJYOTI DEKA and NEPTUNE BARMAN
Flood has been a major problem of Assam for many years. The reason behind the flood is the lifeline of Assam, Brahmaputra. Millions get displaced, livelihood is lost, lives are lost. Once the floods excessive water was welcomed by the people of Assam because it made land more fertile but now it is leading to disaster. The government is trying hard to fight against the flood year after year. But deforestation and an increase in the number of people living in the bank of the river have made the disaster more dangerous. The flood has hit recently again in 2020 and 23 districts are affected out of 33 districts. Thousands of people are forced to leave their homes and most of them belong to below the poverty line. At the same time landslide has been killing people in Assam. The animals are also majorly affected by the flood and they tried to escape the flood and came out of the forest to the villages and cities as reported in Kaziranga and Baksha. Barpeta has emerged as the worst affected district with nearly 1.33 lakh being affected followed by dhemaji with almost one lakh people and nalbari with more than 96,000 people. Ironically the human also migrated similarly like the animals due to flood. And 21 people lost their lives. Ironically the lifeline of Assam becomes the reason of disaster for thousands year after year. The people are seen protesting against the government for not taking the necessary steps for the flood-affected people. Multidisciplinary nature of environmental studies can help to solve this problem, we cannot solve this problem single-handedly. Every action of humans affects the environment so we cannot stop this but at least we can reduce the effects of the disaster.
