Inter-caste Marriage Explained||NEPTUNE BARMAN

We have been following the traditional art of marrying the person of the same caste. But as the new generation is advancing many questions are arising that why we cannot marry another caste person? Let`s look back to the old days. In India, the caste system was introduced to teach the skill to the people of society and make them perfect in their skill. And the skill was inherited in their families. A girl from a family of the goldsmith was married to a boy from a family of goldsmith because of the knowledge that they can inherit. But now the caste system is not valid in the case. Because the son of a goldsmith is studying engineering, the daughter of a farmer is studying MBBS. So the time has changed and it`s time to change the way we think. We should not think about anybody caste before marrying them because we should be practical in life. Our Indian culture had transformed from time to time for the development of humanity and evolved. It was the demand of time that made the cast system in the society but it`s not necessary to follow it now. Because after all, we are all human. It was not a caste system but a class system that people misinterpreted as a caste system. The caste system was based on the occupation of the people. I think the reservation system is necessary at the entry point because the caste system exists. And still the lower caste people are discriminated by the upper caste people in many regions of India. If you want the government to eliminate reservations then you need to support the government to eliminate the caste system and only we can do it. The very basis of the reservation system is the caste system. If we can end the caste system then the reservation system will come to an end.
